Pauline Pisano is an edgy romantic singer/songwriter with an unexpected pop/rock twist. Let's just say this black-boot-wearing soulful vocalist/pianist, is not afraid to rock out. From a very early age, she has been receiving praise for her profoundly unusual voice. "She has pipes that are rare and impressive with a range that sails easily from the basement to the heavens." (Debra Donahue, the Cape-May Times). However, it is her unique sense of story and melody that have led her to win several national and international songwriting awards.

Pauline started singing as soon as she started speaking. Life was one big musical. At age 4 she was placed in music classes. By age 14 she had written her first ballad. At the age of 15 she moved to New York City to pursue a career in music and musical theater. She was accepted into LaGuardia H.S. of Performing Arts and then later New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. At 17 she entered Avatar Studios where her choir, the All City High School Chorus, recorded with Vitamin C. Pauline vowed to one day return to Avatar, but on her own terms and as her own artist.

She continued theater training at NYU and summer music training at Berklee College of Music. By the age of 20 she had received The Father Fame Award, The Rising Stars Award presented by the League of American Theaters Wing, and was a featured soloist at Alice Tully Hall. She also released her first full length album, Behind Dream's Door. The stripped down acoustic record was recorded in the home studio of piano teacher/producer Bob Christopherson.

Seven years after vowing her return, Pauline walked up the steps of Avatar Studios on a mission. She had spent the last 4 years in and out of studios fine tuning her voice as a producer and artist (Pauline wants to mention a special thanks to Ken Kanavas of Newbury Media); it was time to roll the dice. At age 25 she completed her objective. She recorded and produced an award winning EP, In The Middle. The album not only helped to launch her first tour, it also lead her to her current band mates: Rich Mercurio, and Arthur Sadowsky.

The trio has spent the last year playing in clubs and festivals across the country. This spring they will be releasing Pauline's third album, The Light Show.
